The brain of the luminaire is the digital controller. Its task is intelligent control of the optimum operation of the entire luminaire, which means unique functionality, lower power consumption and longer lifespan.
The role of the controller is to supervise that the luminaire gives fixed luminous flux defined by a user. In addition, it has the function of smooth increase of brightness after turning on, which is a unique function in LED luminaires and increases the safety of road users. Furthermore, the controller may operate in the energy-saving mode during late night hours.
The LED lights interface allows the two-way communication with the luminaire. On the one hand, it gives the possibility of controlling the luminaire through adjusting its parameters in accordance with the needs of the user, and on the other hand, it allows the reading of statistical information collected by the luminaire. This data is helpful when making correct decisions aimed at reaching the compromise between the operation costs, the lighting quality and comfort.
What are the benefits of having a portable user interface?

LonWorks controller GLC1xx is intended to manage a single LED luminaire CLEVEO. Apanet's controller utilizes LonWorks communication standard over power lines (PowerLine communication) helping significantly reduce installation costs.
Main advantages:
1) gradual (10-100%) and discrete (2 levels) light dimming,
2) ability to control each light source inpendently,
3) ability to monitor each light power consumption independently,
4) low installtion costs - communication using 230 V AC electrical network,
5) over the network software upgrade.
This in turn enables implementation of algorithms to significantly reduce power usage (cost and C02 emission reduction) and reduce servicing costs.
Apanet's LonWorks server is designed to manage LonWorks controllers network controling separate LED luminaires CLEVEO. Communication with controllers utilises LonWorks standard over power lines (PowerLine communication).
LonWorks server is a key element in the entire system. Server enables:
1) implementation of control algorithms helping reduce outdoor lighting cost (both energy consumption as well as running and servicing costs),
2) acquisition and sharing network measurement and operational data (energy consumption, operating time etc.),
3) clustering light sources and creating virtual lighting installations (dedicated to individual customers with the possibility of sharing one installation by several customers and calculating energy consumption inpedently for each one of them),
4) web browser access from anywhere using any hardware (PC, Mac, tablet, smart phone) - Web 2.0 server.

2) A choice of default Luminous Flux:
This option allows You to set the lumen output and the power of the LED luminaire. Embedded intelligent controller will control the work of the luminaire's so that, irrespective of external conditions it will maintain the desired light output. The maximum possible setting of the light output is dependent on the type of luminaire.
3) Ageing Compensation:
When this option is set to "on", the luminaire controller maintains constant output luminous flux regardless of the light source's wear. This option causes minor increase in the power consumption along with the aging of the light source. This option also vastly increases luminaire lifetime and decreases overall power consumption.
4) Adjustment of the angle of depression:
CLEVEO luminaire is equipped with a fixing element with adjustable angle. Thus the luminaire can be installed on posts ended vertically and horizontally. CLEVEO luminaire in standard enables adjustment of angle in two ranges: -5 to 20 degrees and 70 to 95 degrees.
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS:
5) Internal Dim mode:
Internal Dim feature automatically reduces the luminaire's power in the late night hours (no external control signal is required). Reducing the luminaire's power lowers the light intensity of the luminaire. The luminaire persist in Internal Dim mode when it's power is lowered.
6) External Dim mode:
The External Dim function reduces the input power of the luminaire to a desired level using an external 1-10V electric control signal. Reducing the luminaire's power lowers the light intensity of the luminaire. The luminaire persist in the External Dim mode when it's power is lowered.
7) Solar Switch:
Solar Switch - a built-in automatic circuitry, which switches the luminaire's power supply between mains power and solar power/battery. The luminaire's power supply is switched to mains when there is not enough energy in the battery.
8) Implementation of energy counter in the LonWorks controller:new
LonWorks controller allows the implementation of energy counter. This feature gives you quick access to information relating to energy consumption. This option is available in LED luminaires CLEVEO version with installed LonWorks controller.
9) Painting the luminaire elements any colour(s) from RAL palette:
This option allows you to paint the luminaires any colour from RAL palette, which systematizes more than 200 colours. Construction of LED luminaires CLEVEO lest You paint the parts in different colour, so You can adjust it to Your expectations.
